Guitareville : Free Late-Night Performances Are Back!
Rouyn-Noranda, May 8, 2023 — The Festival des Guitares du Monde en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (FGMAT) announces the return of “Guitareville”: a series of free late evening shows – a unique addition to the Festival! “Guitareville”, presented by Mine Westwood – IAMGOLD, will be offering a series of exciting performances by local and national musicians.

On the last two evenings of the Festival enjoy these free shows at Broue Pub La Perdrix, Cabaret de la Dernière Chance and Le Cellier Restaurant/Bar where a vast variety of musical styles will be featured.
Friday, June 2nd – 3 shows. You could have the pleasure of welcoming Vince Vertefeuille, at Broue Pub La Perdrix who will be performing a quality Fingerstyle show, with his original and energetic acoustic compositions. That same evening, you could also enjoy “The Luckies”, who will offer rockabilly, and country rhythm at the Cabaret de la Dernière Chance. Your final choice could be at the Resto/Bar Le Cellier, where “Duo des Airs” will perform a crowd-thrilling repertoire of local songs, American folk-rock and the tunes of the “British invasion”!
Saturday, June 3rd, we are offering a unique evening with Walter Druce, who will bring his blues-rock sounds to Broue Pub La Perdrix. Fuso will be combining pop song and reggae styles at the Cabaret de la Dernière Chance. Finally, Metò will perform at the Resto/Bar Le Cellier, where you will enjoy his melodious, poetic and luminous English folk compositions.
