The “Chansons rassembleuses” are great gatherings centered around creativity, bringing together Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, offering an opportunity for sharing and inclusive celebration of song. The mentor artists Florent Vollant, Réjean Bouchard, and Guillaume Arsenault supported the songwriters and performers at the heart of the project: Matiu, Karen Pinette-Fontaine, Scott Pien-Picard, Ivan Boivin, Marcie, Cédrik St-Onge, Chloé Lacasse, and Joëlle Saint-Pierre, whose compositions will blend and intermingle. This performance was created and presented at the Festival en chanson de Petite-Vallée, as well as at the Festival Innu Nikamu in Maliotenam, thereby fulfilling a shared desire to bring together songwriters and performers and introduce them to audiences as part of an intercultural artistic project.
