Biography from Luca Stricagnoli


Luca Stricagnoli was born and raised in Italy, is an acoustic guitarist known for his unique style and innovative playing techniques. His original approach to music has led him to a variety of successes from obtaining over 60 million views on his music videos to having the opportunity to perform all around the globe.

Using up to five guitars in the same piece, modified capos, and self-conceived stratagems, Luca continually leaves his audiences in awe and wondering what’s next for the up-and-coming guitarist. In addition to his musical abilities, Luca brings an enthusiastic energy to the stage that attracts concert requests from every corner of the world. Although it has only been a year and a half since Luca started playing concerts, he has already performed in a vast multitude of countries.

Luca shared the stage with several big names of the acoustic guitar world during the International Guitar Night tour. These names included the founder of the Latin-Swing style Lulo Reinhardt, grammy-nominated musician and inventor of the Slide Guitar Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya, and Brazilian guitarist and composer Chrystian Dozza. He has also been a guest artist for Italian musical legends such as “New Trolls – La Storia” and “Davide Van De Sfroos”.

Throughout his career, Luca’s music has been published by countless magazines and has grabbed the attention of world-famous artists. Luca is currently working on a new release in which he explores even more approaches to guitar playing and debuts a new guitar that he created with Davide Serracini, all while discovering what the custom instrument has to offer the world of music.


Biography from Ewan Dobson

Ewan Dobson has established himself as one of Canada’s accomplished guitarists, having won first prize in many guitar competitions across the country. His impressive track record includes Canadian Fingerstyle guitar champion His impressive track record includes Canadian Fingerstyle guitar champion at the prestigious Canadian Fingerstyle Guitar Competition held in Kingston, Ontario during summer 2009. The prize was a recording contract with Candyrat Records. Candyrat Records is still the record label that produces Dobson’s albums.

The development of Ewan Dobson into the artist that he is today has been an eclectic journey to say the least. After humble beginnings with his first electric guitar playing heavy metal and hard rock music to the structured discipline of his classical training,

Dobson has expanded his repertoire to include Bluegrass, Metal, Canadian folk, Techno, Trance, Video Game and Contemporary Fingerstyle music. The culmination of all of these diverse influences has fueled his creativity to compose his own unique brand of music and resulted in creating the captivating artist that he is today.

In 2010, Ewan has performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival alongside Gareth Pearson, Craig D’Andrea and Don Ross. The same year, Ewan hit the road with fellow guitar virtuoso Antoine Dufour for his first Canadian tour that featured performance dates with the legendary Don Ross. As a result, there will be tours in 2011 that will take him the following years to many parts of the globe.

At the end of 2014, Ewan opening a show for legendary guitarist Albert Lee. Dobson was also invited as a musical guest of honour to perform at the Gamescom gaming convention in Cologne, Germany. This was the first time an instrumental guitarist had been selected by the convention to perform in its history.

From 2007 to 2016, Ewan produced a dozen solo albums including 6 albums produced by Candyrat Records. Time 2 (from his second album Ewan Dobson II) became his most successful song. The album 12 String Guitar (2014) was dedicated to Leo Kottke, the American fingerstyle guitarist who pioneered the aggressive 12 string guitar style and influenced numerous fingerstyle guitar players around the globe. He has also collaborated in the musical works of other artists including the song Horrors which appears on the last album of Jason Becker and Marty Friedman: Inferno.
